All About This Blog

You know when you’re driving in the car on your way to work, or to the airport, or just to run those mundane errands, and it’s pretty drab? You turn on the radio to bring something pleasant into the atmosphere and it lifts you up, even just slightly.

That’s what I want my blog to be about – a little mood lifter that puts a bit of pleasantness into the online atmosphere.

Granted, my output here wont be relevant or appealing to everyone who tunes in, just like certain music genres and styles of artwork aren’t favored by everyone. I am here for those who like this style, and those who want to branch out from their usual tastes.

Things you’ll probably find here include all of the following:

Photography
Education
Family life
Parenting
Children
Psychology
Philosophy
Marriage
Relationships
Food
Environment
Yoga
Gardening
Organizing
Wood Working
Slick Deals
Research
Documentation
Wellness

Later I may add to this list, but you get the gist. You can note that I’m not particularly interested in writing about style, fashion, politics, religion, celebrities, TV, music, sports, (except the Olympics!) careers, or how hard life is. I think those things have too many idiosyncrasies attached to them, and tend to cause a polarization among people with various temperaments and living circumstances. When humanity learns how to manage its collective ego then maybe those topics will be more uplifting for me to write about.

Everyone of us has a unique way of enhancing our surroundings. We effect some directly, and others through a trickle. But we all effect each other in the end. I think that’s how we progress :)

So here’s to progress!

About Ashley

Hi, I'm Ashley. Welcome to my site. Here you'll find a share of events from life with my husband, Russ, and our three elementary aged kids. We've lived as a family in Illinois, Virginia, North Carolina, and now Washington. Russ is a software engineer, and I'm a stay at home mom, and part time yoga teacher. We've made a pretty tight-knit family growing together these past 12 years. I hope you enjoy getting to know us from afar.
